Hair glaze… who ever heard of a hair glaze?
My current hair situation is medium brown roots and a blonde balayage and as everyone knows that (a) going from brunette to blonde is tricky and (b) maintaining it can be a bitch. When I heard about a hair glaze treatment I thought I just had to try it.
I held off writing this review last year because I felt like it would come across like I was bashing this company/salon. This is not the case, but I do want to write a review for some hair extensions I tried that just didn’t work for me. In the interest of full disclosure, I entered an Instagram contest with my then salon, Bad Apple, to win a hair cut and hair extensions for their relaunch event for free. I was lucky enough to win, eeeek, I never win anything! I was so excited because my hair at the time was relatively short and I thought this would be a fun way to change things up.
I’d never really considered getting extensions before and just entered the competition on a whim, but here we go….
I’ve once again been off the blog for ages! Today is actually the anniversary of when I signed up for this blog and so I guess it’s a good day to start it up again. I have found some incredible skincare that has made me want to blog about it. I just have to shout from the roof tops about how amazing these products are. The best part is, they are affordable!!!!!
I’ve wanted to treat myself to a nice lipstick for a while and yesterday I found the perfect opportunity. Charlotte Tilbury has released some new lipstick shades in two different formulas – Matte Revolution and Kiss. These are done in conjunction with a collection of Hollywood A-listers who have created their own perfect shade.
It’s been a while since I’ve blogged and I’m annoyed at myself for that… I must try and update this more! I stated this blog at the start of the year and never got around to finishing it….. bad bad bad Hope! Anywyay… here we go!
I love to travel and this year I’ve been travelling a lot! I haven’t checked luggage on a flight for a number of years so my packing skills have improved and I only tend to take things that I love and need. No more packing 6 pairs of shoes for a 4 day trip!
Holidays are approaching and with them comes the anxiety of getting my legs out and boobs out (bikinis people, minds out of the gutter please)! I’m going on two holidays over the next few months and it got me thinking about how paranoid and self conscious I used to feel (and sometimes still do) about my skin. Being very pale in the summer comes with its difficulties… number one – burning (OUCH)…. number two – the comments:
“Why are you so white? What’s wrong with you?”
“Have you never heard of fake tan?”
“Why don’t you go out in the sun and stop being so pale?”
This evening, I stumbled across something very exciting after work. Usually in Birmingham city centre there are usually pop up stands selling or giving away various things that usually have very little interest for me… paintball for example (just no). To my surprise, I find Clarins have a pop up spa. WHAAAAT?!!!!!! It’s true!
